Women's Basketball All-Decade Team Announced

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria athletics department is excited to announce the LSUA Women's Basketball All-Decade Team, honoring and celebrating student-athletes from the program's first 10 years.
 
LSUA coaches, athletics communication staff, and administration selected the 11-player roster. While not a definitive list of student-athletes who contributed to the growth and success of the LSUA women's basketball program, these 11 stood out during their time for the Generals.
 
Leading the team is Kelsey Thaxton, LSUA's most prolific scorer. Thaxton was named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention in both 2020 and 2021. She spent four seasons with the Generals from 2018-19 to 2021-22. Thaxton scored 1,678 points over her career. Thaxton shot 40.4 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from long range. She converted 77.4 percent of her chances at the charity stripe. Thaxton tallied 408 rebounds, 152 assists, 150 steals, and 43 blocks over her career. She was a four-time All-RRAC First Team selection and was named RRAC Freshman of the Year in 2018-19. Thaxton earned three selections to LSWA All-Louisiana teams and earned LSWA Louisiana Freshman of the Year in 2018-19.
 
Next is 2019 NAIA Third Team All-American Danyale Bayonne. Bayonne joined the Generals for the 2018-19 season and became the program's first NAIA All-American. She finished seventh in the NAIA in scoring, tallying 19.8 points per game. Bayonne finished in the NAIA top 25 in field goal percentage (46.5) and defensive rebounds per game (6.4). She totaled 496 points, including a season-high 30 at Dillard on December 1, 2018. Bayonne was an All-RRAC First Team honoree and RRAC Newcomer of the Year. She also earned Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana First Team.
 
Pearl Paulo played two seasons for LSUA and was a member of the program's inaugural season in 2014-15. She appeared in 43 games over two seasons and tallied 621 points, 228 rebounds, 57 assists, 57 steals, and 12 blocks. Paulo was an All-RRAC First Team selection in 2014-15, the program's first-ever selection. In 2015-16, Paulo earned a Second Team All-RRAC selection as well as being named an LSWA All-Louisiana Honorable Mention.
 
Reagan Maricle spent the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons with the Generals. In two seasons with the Generals, Maricle recorded 472 points, 24 assists, 161 rebounds, 11 blocks, and 145 steals. Maricle was a First Team All-RRAC honoree and earned RRAC Defensive Player of the Year. She also earned an LSWA All-Louisiana Second Team selection in 2015-16.
 
Another inaugural season member, Taylor Maricle, appeared in 43 games over the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. She recorded 584 points, 231 rebounds, 142 assists, 112 steals, and seven blocks. Maricle was a Second Team All-RRAC selection in 2015-16 and an LSWA All-Louisiana Third Team selection.
 
Katie Lemieux played 47 games over the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons for LSUA. She recorded 814 points, 293 rebounds, 134 assists, 118 steals, and 12 blocks. Lemieux earned RRAC Newcomer of the Year following the 2016-17 season. She notched First Team All-RRAC honors in both seasons, was named to the RRAC All-Tournament Team in 2017-18, and was an LSWA All-Louisiana Second Team selection.
 
Kendriana Washington appeared in 27 games in the 2019-20 season for the Generals. She recorded 476 points, 216 rebounds, 63 assists, 52 steals, and 17 blocks. She finished seventh in the NAIA in field goal percentage (56.3) and finished 20th in points per game (17.6). Washington earned an All-RRAC First Team selection and was named to the RRAC All-Tournament Team.
 
Ciera Daniels played three seasons for LSUA from 2018-19 to 2020-21 and appeared in 52 games. She recorded 652 points, 469 rebounds, 52 assists, 64 steals, and 26 blocks. Daniels earned All-RRAC First Team honors in 2019-20 and was named to the RRAC All-Tournament Team.
 
Dannah Martin-Hartwick joined the Generals as a freshman in the 2020-21 season and finished her career this past season. Over five seasons at LSUA, Martin-Hartwick appeared in 120 games. She totaled 1,432 points, 344 rebounds, 311 assists, 167 steals, and 14 blocks. Martin-Hartwick earned three consecutive All-RRAC First Team selections.
 
Jewel Jones played four seasons at LSUA from 2021-22 to 2024-25. Over her career, she amassed 1,038 points, 374 rebounds, 214 assists, 134 steals, and two blocks. Jones is a two-time All-RRAC Second Team selection.
 
The final All-Decade member is Amani Gray. She played four seasons for the Generals from 2021-22 to 2024-25. Over those four years, she appeared in 110 games. Gray totaled 1,099 points, 745 rebounds, 271 assists, 153 steals, and 27 blocks. She set the LSUA single-game record for blocks in a game with five against Paul Quinn on January 30, 2025. Gray was a two-time All-RRAC Honorable Mention selection.
