ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria athletics department is excited to announce the LSUA Baseball All-Decade Team, honoring and celebrating student-athletes from the program's history.
LSUA coaches, athletics communication staff, and administration selected the 17-player roster. While not a definitive list of all student-athletes who contributed to the growth and success of the LSUA baseball program, these 17 individuals stood out during their time with the Generals. Players from the program's inaugural season in 2008 through 2025 were considered.
PITCHERS
Adam Hines appeared in 58 games over his four-year career at LSUA. From 2013 to 2016, Hines logged 344.0 innings of work and posted a 31-10 record. Hines tossed 23 complete games and six shutouts. He struck out 260 hitters with an ERA of 2.07. Hines allowed just nine home runs in 1,229 at-bats. He was inducted into the LSUA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024 as part of the inaugural induction class. Hines earned NAIA First Team All-American honors in 2015. He took home a pair of RRAC Pitcher of the Year honors in 2015 and 2016, earning First Team All-RRAC in both seasons as well. Hines was a two-time RRAC All-Tournament Team honoree. He earned Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana First Team honors in 2015.
Clayton Doyle pitched in 56 games from 2016 to 2019 for the Generals. He tossed 165.2 innings and compiled a record of 19-5. Doyle posted an ERA of 4.02 and registered 213 strikeouts. He threw four complete games and two shutouts. Doyle was named the RRAC Pitcher of the Year in 2019 along with an All-RRAC First Team selection, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors, and LSWA All-Louisiana Second Team nod. The previous year, he was an All-RRAC Second Team selection.
Rynn Touchet played at LSUA from 2013 to 2015 and appeared in 50 games. He posted a record of 18-5 over 176 innings with an ERA of 3.22. Touchet struck out 119 hitters and tossed five complete games, four of which were shutouts.
Hunter Meche appeared in 38 games for the Generals and logged 121.1 innings. He recorded 11 wins and 134 strikeouts. Meche earned All-RRAC First Team honors in 2021.
Seth Trahan pitched 216 innings from 2020 to 2024 at LSUA. He appeared in 43 games and compiled a record of 19-12. Trahan registered 218 strikeouts over his career. He was an All-RRAC Second Team selection in 2022.
Will Vice appeared in 56 games from 2021 to 2025 for the Generals. He made 54 starts and logged 265.2 innings. Vice struck out 222 hitters and registered 21 wins. He earned RRAC Freshman of the Year honors in 2021 after going 8-1 in 63.0 innings. Vice was an RRAC All-Tournament Team selection in 2022.
CATCHERS
James Howell played in 101 games from 2009 to 2010 at LSUA. He posted an average of .413 and clubbed 14 home runs. Howell drove in 88 runs, scored 59, and slugged .653. He holds the LSUA all-time record for career batting average, hits in a season (82), and total bases in a season (131). On March 23, 2010, Howell hit for the program's first cycle against East Texas Baptist. He earned All-AII First Team honors in both 2009 and 2010.
Peyton Marcantel made 161 appearances from 2021 to 2025 for the Purple and Gold. He hit 21 home runs and drove in 111 runs. Marcantel posted an average of .289 and slugged .524 with an on-base percentage of .419. He hit 64 extra base hits and collected 142 total hits. Marcantel was an All-RRAC First Team selection in 2022 and a Second Team selection in 2023.
INFIELDERS
Blaise Foote became the all-time LSUA home run leader in 2025 with his 25
th career home run. He appeared in 142 games from 2023 to 2025. Foote posted an average of .366, an on-base percentage of .502, and a slugging percentage of .677. His slugging percentage and OPS (1.179) are both LSUA career bests. Foote earned a pair of First Team All-RRAC selections in 2023 and 2024. He received All-RRAC Second Team honors in 2025.
Tid Hilger played at LSUA from 2009 to 2012 and appeared in 198 games. He hit 11 home runs and drove in 139 runs. Hilger posted a career average of .366 with an on-base percentage of .423 and a slugging percentage of .505. He hit 52 doubles and scored 111 runs. Hilger was a four-time All-AII First Team selection.
Ty Desormeaux appeared in 156 games from 2017 to 2019 for the Generals. He hit .290 over his career with an on-base percentage of .368. He hit six home runs, drove in 89, and scored 109. Desormeaux swiped 26 bags. He was named an All-RRAC First Team selection in 2018.
Wes Hotard played in 2008 and 2009 for the Generals. He posted a career average of .342, including hitting .403 in 2008. Hotard slugged .493 over his LSUA career and drew 74 walks.
Jordan Ardoin appeared in 162 games for the Generals from 2020 to 2023. He posted a career average of .362 with 20 home runs and 164 runs batted in. Ardoin stole 20 bases and scored 132 runs. He was named RRAC Freshman of the Year in 2021 and earned All-RRAC First Team Honors. In 2022, Ardoin was named an All-RRAC Second Team selection before his second First Team All-RRAC selection in 2023..
OUTFIELDERS
Ronnie McBride appeared in 122 games from 2018 to 2021 for the Purple and Gold. He registered an average of .382 with 133 hits, 24 doubles, five triples, and six home runs. He drove in 64 runs and scored 101. McBride swiped 49 bases over four seasons and posted an on-base percentage of .424. He earned All-RRAC Second Team honors in 2019 and was named to the RRAC Gold Glove Tournament Team in 2018.
Cody Laprarie hit .359 over the 2008 and 2009 seasons for LSUA. He scored 109 runs, including 59 in 2009. Laprarie swiped 44 bases and slugged .470.
Julien Kliebert became the all-time steals leader for the Generals this past season. He stole 82 bases over five seasons from 2021 to 2025. Kliebert appeared in 194 games and collected 136 hits, 77 runs batted in, and seven home runs. He scored 151 runs. Kliebert posted an average of .304 and an on-base percentage of .457.
UTILITY
Logan Constantine played in 210 games from 2016 to 2019 for LSUA. He posted a career average of .386, an on-base percentage of .440, and a slugging percentage of .604. He hit 25 home runs, drove in 175 runs, and scored an LSUA all-time high 181 times. Constantine stole 69 bases, including 30 in 2017. He was named the RRAC Player of the Year in 2018 and earned four All-RRAC First Team selections. Constantine was a 2018 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American.
