Baseball Announces Incoming Recruiting Class

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team is excited to announce the addition of 25 players for the 2026 season.
 
"We are very excited to welcome in a new group of quality players into the LSUA program," LSUA Head Coach Kody Gautreaux said. "After losing 14 seniors we were able to go out and recruit a very big incoming class that includes 12 incoming freshmen and 13 transfers. Our returning class is excited to welcome in our new players and we as a staff are excited to be able to start working towards our goals."
 
Brian Keller is a 5-foot-11 left-handed pitcher from Archbishop Rummel High School and Metairie, Louisiana. He played for the Knights Knation and was an LHSSA All-State Academic Composite Team honoree.
 
"I chose LSUA because it is the best place to continue my academic and athletic journey," Keller said.
 
Riley Fontenot is a 5-foot-11 left-handed pitcher from Pine Prairie High School and Oakdale, Louisiana. He was a First Team All-Parish and All-District selection. Fontenot played for Sheets Baseball and was a dual-sport athlete, competing in both football and baseball.
 
"I chose LSUA because it felt like home and I love the campus," Fontenot said. "Also, how welcoming and positive the coaching staff was."
 
Dayne Martin is a 6-foot-1 right-handed pitcher from Pitkin, Louisiana and Pitkin High School. He earned three All-District selections and was named Second Team All-State in 2024.
 
"I chose LSUA because it's closer to my home and I want to be close with my family after all we've been through," Martin said.
 
Remy Broussard is a 6-foot-2 catcher from Kaplan, Louisiana and Kaplan High School. He earned a trio of First Team All-District selections, an All-Parish nod, and was a 2025 LSWA Class AAA All-State honoree.
 
"I chose LSUA because I really like the campus and coaching staff," Broussard said. "It's the place for me to develop into a better baseball player and an even better person."
 
Blake Moss is a 5-foot-11 outfielder from Lake Charles, Louisiana and Barbe High School. He joins the Generals from Nunez Community College. Moss was a Second Team All-District selection while at Barbe.
 
"I chose LSUA because going on a visit and knowing players there, it felt like a family from the jump," Moss said. "The coaching staff were really on top and care about winning but more so about their players and getting them better, not just for baseball, but for life.
 
Seth Leger is a 5-foot-11 right-handed pitcher and infielder from Erath, Louisiana and Erath High School. He was a two-time District MVP and First Team All-District selection. Leger also earned a pair of LBCA All-State selections.
 
"I chose LSUA because it felt like home when I was on my visit," Leger said.
 
Wyatt Stafford is a 6-foot-0 infielder from St. Amant, Louisiana and Ascension Christian High School. He earned three All-District selections, including First Team All-District in 2024.
 
"I chose LSUA because I felt that LUSA would be a great start to furthering my athletic career," Stafford said. "LSUA also provides the major I would like to take. LSUA's coaches made me feel at home and that I would learn a lot from my experience at LSUA."
 
Nash Tamplet is a 5-foot-9 left-handed pitcher from Walker, Louisiana and Central Private School. He joins LSUA from Baton Rouge Community College. Tamplet was a three-time First Team All-District selection. Academically, Tamplet was a three-time Chancellor's List honoree and a Dean's List selection.
 
"I chose LSUA because of the family-like atmosphere and support from coaches to succeed," Tamplet said.
 
Jack Cowan is a 6-foot-1 right-handed pitcher from West Monroe, Louisiana and West Monroe High School. He joins the Generals from Baton Rouge Community College.
 
"I chose LSUA because I liked what LSUA is building," Cowan said. "I believe that it is a good cultural fit on and off the field."
 
Luke Day is a 6-foot-0 right-handed pitcher from Frisco, Texas and Lone Star High School. He led his squad in ERA over the course of three separate seasons.
 
"I chose LSUA to compete at the next level and to win at the next level," Day said.
 
Ian Rider is a 5-foot-11 right-handed pitcher from Eunice, Louisiana and St. Edmund High School. He was an All-District selection in both 2023 and 2024. Rider earned LBCA Region 5 All-Region honors in 2024.
 
"I chose LSUA because after visiting campus and meeting Coach Gautreaux, it felt like home and I knew LSUA would be a good fit for me," Rider said.
 
Braydon Stacy is a 5-foot-8 infielder from Sulphur, Louisiana and Sulphur High School.  This past season, Stacy hit .387 for CBA Sticks 18U.
 
"I chose LSUA because it was a perfect fit for me, honestly," Stacy said. "I really like the campus, the guys, and the coaching staff."
 
Eli Finley is a 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher from Loreauville, Louisiana and Loreauville High School. He joins the Generals from Southeast Arkansas. In high school, Finley earned All-State, First Team All-District, and First Team All-Metro honors.
 
"I chose LSUA because I liked what I've seen and heard about the baseball program," Finley said.
 
Zac Collins is a 6-foot-0 left-handed pitcher from Opelousas, Louisiana and Opelousas Catholic School. He earned Second Team All-District honors, as well as American Legion All-District and All-Region nods.
 
"I chose LSUA because I really like the coaches and their baseball program, as well as the great biology department," Collins said.
 
Logan Deloach is a 6-foot-0 infielder from Deville, Louisiana. He joins LSUA from Southeast Arkansas College.
 
"I chose LSUA because I love the coaches, the campus, and I'm ready to come back home and continue playing baseball as a General," Deloach said.
 
Austin Morris is a 6-foot-2 outfielder from Frisco, Texas and Memorial High School. He joins the Generals from Southern Arkansas University Tech.
 
"I chose LSUA because it was the perfect fit for me when it comes to competitiveness, location, price, and education," Morris said.
 
Jake Brouillette is a 6-foot-2 outfielder from Church Point, Louisiana and Notre Dame High School. He joins the Generals from Baton Rouge Community College.
 
"LSUA was the best option for me academically and athletically in the next steps in my career," Brouilette said.
 
Jacob Brignac is a 6-foot-0 right-handed pitcher from St. Amant, Louisiana and Ascension Christian High School. He earned seven All-District honors as a pitcher and outfielder. Brignac also earned All-State Honorable Mention in 2024. Academically, he graduated as Valedictorian, was a member of the National Honors Society, and was an LHSAA Academic All-State selection.
 
"I chose LSUA because the academics aligned with what I wanted and I had an opportunity to continue to play baseball," Brignac said.
 
Dalton Wilson is a 6-foot-0 outfielder from Greenwell Springs, Louisiana and Catholic High School. He joins LSUA from Tyler Junior College. Wilson was a Region 14 All-conference selection.
 
"I chose LSUA because it is a great school and a great baseball program," Wilson said.
 
Geoffrey Fontenot is a 5-foot-10 infielder from Opelousas, Louisiana and Iota High School. He joins the Generals from the College of the Desert.
 
"I chose LSUA because it is a great program closer to the people I love," Fontenot said. "While still being able to continue doing what I love."
 
Jack Holbrook is a 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher from Monroe, Louisiana and River Oaks School. He joins the Generals rom Bossier Parish Community College. Holbrook earned First Team Al-Northeast Louisiana and First Team All-District selections. A dual-sport athlete, Holbrook competed in both baseball and football.
 
"I chose LSUA because it felt like the right fit the second I stepped on campus during my visit," Holbrook said. "Most importantly, I could see myself really growing and developing as a player at LSUA under Coach Gautreaux."
 
Michael Sutton is a 5-foot-10 right-handed pitcher from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Catholic High Baton Rouge. He joins LSUA from Mississippi College, where he was a 2024 Academic All-Gulf South Conference selection.
 
"I chose LSUA because it felt like home on my visit," Sutton said.
 
Peyton Biondi is a 5-foot-8 catcher from Ponchatoula, Louisiana and Ponchatoula High School. He earned Second Team All-District honors behind the dish.
 
"I chose LSUA to further my baseball and academic career," Biondi said.
 
Lane Kratzer is a 5-foot-10 outfielder from Jennings, Louisiana and Jennings High School. He joins the Generals from John Melvin University. Kratzer earned four All-District selections while at Jennings. At JMU, Kratzer was an Academic All-Conference selection.
 
"I chose LSUA because it's a growing school and athletic program with a lot of positive things heading its way," Kratzer said.
