THE GENERALS
The Generals start off the 2026 season with a 3-1 record after sweeping Wiley University (2-0) and splitting with John Melvin last week (1-1).
Carter Fabre was named the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Fabre tossed six shutout innings against Wiley University earning his first win of the year. He allowed just one hit, struck out five and forced seven ground outs.
Cade LaBruyere drove in six runs and had four hits in the opening weekend, including a walk off against Wiley University in game two.
Michael Sutton earned his first win of the season in game two against John Melvin. He tossed five scoreless innings and struck out four.
All time, the Generals are 2-2 against John Melvin.
SCOUTING JOHN MELVIN UNIVERSITY
The Millers started off the season by splitting the games with the Generals.
Peyton Ford no-hit the Generals in game one. He recorded three strikeouts.
John Melvin plated three runs in the game's final frame in game two. Tristan Rogers scored on a throwing error before Dylan Judice scored on a wild pitch. Connor Pleasant came around on a base hit as the game's final run.
