THE GENERALS
LSUA is 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
The Generals swept Dillard University last week in a 7-0 victory.
Isabella Stuurman was named the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week after defeating Weichiao Chen in No. 3 singles and recording a 6-3 win over Chen and Gia Pereira in doubles.
Nahia Echaide is currently ranked No. 25 in ITA NAIA Women's Tennis singles.
SCOUTING NO. 8 LOYOLA NEW ORLEANS
The Wolf Pack are 1-3 on the season and lost their last match to No. 4 William Carey University, 4-0.
Presha Shanthamoorthi is the lone member of Loyola to be ranked in the ITA NAIA Women's Tennis single rankings, coming in at No. 34. She has played in the four and five spots for the Wolf Pack, recording a record of 0-3 in singles.
Micaela Ponce has suited up in the top spot for Loyola, recorded a record of 1-3.
In doubles, Sofia Amodu and Avery Frierson have recorded a 2-0 record in the third doubles pairing. Ponce and Adele Fereres are 0-3 in the top spot, while Shanthamoorthi is a combined 1-3 with Bianca Harris and Avrora Volkova in the two spot.
Freres and Frierson are ranked No. 7 in the ITA NAIA Women's Tennis doubles rankings as a pairing.
SCOUTING JACKSON STATE
The Tigers are 1-7 on the season and have lost their last two matches. They are 0-3 when playing on the road.
Sunday's match will be an exhibition for the Generals.
Paula Corbalon has played six matches in the top singles spot for JSU. She is 1-5 overall. The Tigers are 3-4 as a team in the fourth and fifth singles spots and have posted a 4-4 record in the final singles position.
In doubles, the Tigers have recorded two wins in the second pairing and three out of the third.
