MOBILE, AL – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer suffered a 6-0 road loss to the University of Mobile.
"Really disappointing day," LSUA Head Coach
Mark Hammond said. "Everything that could have went wrong for us went wrong. We shot ourselves in the foot multiple time and if you give a decent side like Mobile momentum they will make you pay. We'll lick our wounds and get back to the grind to be better for Sunday."
The Rams (2-0-0) scored four goals in the first half and tacked on a pair more in the second. They edge the Generals (1-2-0), 14-12, in shots.
Ariana Lowenstein led LSUA with five shots, three of which were on goal. Paul Suarez added three,
Sacha Backus recorded two, and Carolina Ajos Pereira and
Taylor Carty both tallied a shot on goal.
Suninda Singhasanee scored a pair of goals for Mobile. Olivia Sanchez Manque, Andi Hughes, Charlotte Malamaire, and Ariana Taylor each scored once.
The Generals play their home opener on Sunday, August 30, at noon against Bethel University (TN).
