Adam Hines, pitcher for the Generals baseball team, got the national honor of First Team NAIA All-American after his junior season where he was nearly un-hittable. During the 2015 season LSUA won a total of 39 games which is the highest in LSUA history, Hines went 10-1 with a save, as he helped lead the Generals to the Red River Athletic Conference regular season championship and a berth in the NAIA National Championship Tournament. He accumulated seven complete games, four of which were shutouts during 2015. When the season ended, his 2015 campaign gave him LSUA single season records in ERA (0.96), innings pitched (93.2), victories (10), and shutouts (4). His 0.96 ERA was fourth lowest in the NAIA in 2015, while his 4.71 hits allowed per nine innings was second best, and the .155 batting average off him was third best that season. He allowed just 11 runs, ten earned, in 2015, both fifth best in the NAIA. Hines was named the RRAC's Pitcher of the Year in both 2015 and 2016, as well was First Team All-Conference both seasons. Cementing his great 2015 season was a spot as First Team All-Louisiana, putting him among some of the college baseball greats in the state of Louisiana, including Division I programs. Before his standout season in 2015, Hines was also a part of LSUA's first NAIA regional appearance in 2014.
