Tid Hilger, third baseman and designated hitter for the Generals, was unstoppable at the plate. During his career as a General he appeared in 197 games going to bat 655 times. During those at bats he recorded 240 hits and had a batting average of .366. Hilger's slugging percentage has stamped his name in many LSUA record books, starting strong in his freshman season. Hilger holds records for most runs scored, hits in a single season and overall career, runs scored in a career, runs batted in for both a single season (2010) and for his career, best batting average for both single season (2011) and overall career, most doubles in a season (2012) and career, career homeruns, most total bases in a career, 5th highest career slugging percentage, most games played, and most at bats. Hilger was also named first team All-Association of Independent Institutions all four years of his career.Â
