The LSUA women's tennis team traveled to Mobile, Alabama to take on the Tennessee Wesleyan University Bulldogs in the first round of the National tournament. The Generals started off hot as they took all three doubles matches to win the doubles point. LSUA's #1 doubles pairing of Olivia Scattini and Annemart Kleijn took a 6-1 victory to start things off. Maria Alvarez and Alicia Romero Gomez followed by also winning 6-1, which handed the Generals the doubles point. Candela Bonivardi and Patricia Martinez Molina were leading 5-2, but their match was unfinished as the point was already in the bag.
In the singles, the tide began to turn in favor of the Bulldogs. LSUA just managed to win 2/6 singles games which handed the Bulldogs a 4-3 victory. Unfortunately, it was only Patricia Martinez Molina & Olivia Scattini came out victorious in the singles. 

The ladies have done LSUA proud once again this year by making it all the way to the national tournament. Coach Melinda and the girls will look to bounce back next year and make it even further.
