ALEXANDRIA, LA – Ivan Capurro of the Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team earned Red River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
 
Capurro recorded a pair of clean sheet wins last week over North American and A&M-Victoria. He made four saves with three coming against the Jaguars. Capurro now has six clean sheets on the season and a goals against average of 0.74.
 
Capurro has a record of 12-1-1 on the season.It is the second time he has earned RRAC Defensive Player of the Week.
 
The Generals travel to LSU Shreveport on Thursday before facing Louisiana Christian at home on Saturday for Senior Day.
