ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 21 Louisiana State University of Alexandria softball team travels to Texas A&M-Texarkana in a Red River Athletic Conference doubleheader.
 
"We are excited for our first longer road trip of the season against a top conference opponent," LSUA Head Coach Trent Partridge said. "We anticipate a high-scoring affair as we are both leading or among the top four in nearly every offensive category. It promises to be an exciting matchup between two dominant offenses."
 
The Generals (11-1, 4-0 RRAC) are coming off a sweep of Red River Rival Louisiana Christian in a pair of run-rule games, 10-2 and 11-2. LSUA is currently ranked third in the NAIA in batting average (.419), on-base percentage (.480), and slugging percentage (.667). The Generals lead the NAIA in total bases (228), homeruns (19), and runs (123).
 
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-TEXARKANA
The Eagles are 11-3 overall and 2-0 in RRAC play. They swept LCU, 5-4 and 9-1, on February 21.
 
Brooke Usrey leads the Eagles with a slash line of .576/.650/1.182. She has hit five homeruns and driven in 14 runs, a team-high in both categories. Madison Dingman is hitting .500 through 12 games. Raylene Zazueta has posted an average of .440 and hit four homeruns. She has driven in 11 runs.
 
TAMUT is slashing .359/.423/.539 as a team. They rank 10^th in the NAIA in stolen bases (33). They are fourth in runs scored (106), homeruns (13), and extra base hits (39). They are top 20 in the NAIA in batting average and slugging percentage.
 
Alexis Snyder has handled six starts in the circle for the Eagles. Over 36 innings she has accumulated an ERA of 2.72 and a WHIP of 1.64. She has struck out 29 hitters and walked 16. Snyder has a 4-1 record and has thrown two complete games. Rylee Glenn has made four starts and appeared in six games. She is 3-0 over 26 innings with an ERA of 1.62 and a WHIP of 1.31. Glenn has struck out 25 hitters and walked 11. The Eagles have a team ERA of 2.14.
 
The Generals are 11-9 against the Eagles since 2019. They have won the last two games and are 4-5 when playing on the road.
 
First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 PM in Texarkana, Texas.
