ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 10 Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team took down No. 11 Xavier University (La.) on Senior Day.
Belen Blasco clinched the match victory with a 6-7, 7-5, 6-2 win over Asadah Ma'at in No. 3 Singles.
The Generals (6-3) dropped the doubles point with the Gold Nuggets (11-9) taking two of the three doubles matches.
Kanu Rajawat and
Gianna Panaggio recorded the lone doubles win in the second pairing, 6-3, over Mbali Langa and Ma'at.
In No. 1 Singles,
Nahia Echaide won in three sets over Langa 6-2, 3-6, 6-4. Panaggio won 6-3, 0-6, 7-5 over Hana Moss in No. 4 Singles.
Isabella Stuurman picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win in No. 5 Singles against Sanai LeSure.
Joline Roesch was ahead 7-5 in No. 6 Singles when Blasco clinched the victory for LSUA.
