FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The No. 12 Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team won its third straight match with a 7-0 win over William Woods University.
Kanu Rajawat and
Gianna Panaggio won the No. 2 Doubles match, 7-6, over Kristina Dmitrijevic and Sophia Hausner.
Belen Blasco and
Isabella Stuurman also captured a 7-6 win in the No. 3 Doubles over Zara Littlejohn and Samya Sikand.
The Generals (3-2) swept through the singles matches.
Nahia Echaide battled back after dropping the first set to Hanna Lindeboom, 6-3, to take the No. 1 Singles match 3-6, 6-3, [12-10].
Rajawat took care of Mireia Simon 6-1, 6-4 in No. 2 Singles. In the third spot,
Belen Blasco downed Dimitrijevic, 6-2, 6-2. Stuurman recorded a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Sikand in No. 4 Singles. Panaggio picked up a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Sophia Hausner in No. 5 Singles.
Joline Roesch notched a 6-2, 6-2 win over Chloe Hecker in No. 6 Singles.
The Generals take on Texas A&M-Texarkana tomorrow, March 8, in their final match of the Steve Foster Invitational.
