PREVIEW | Softball Faces XULA, OLLU, and TAMUSA in Busy Week

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team is on the road this week as they head to John Melvin University on Monday and Jarvis Christian University for a three-game series.

LAST TIME OUT
The Generals (31-3, 14-0 RRAC) split a doubleheader against D1 Southern University last week. Their RRAC doubleheader against Texas College was moved to April 26 due to inclement weather.
 
LSUA took game two of the doubleheader against Southern with a trio of three hit performances from Julia Kwakernaak, Madi Baker, and Rylie Jeau Theriot. Kamille Lightfoot drove in three runs. Madison Nelson hit her first career homerun.
 
Alyssa Soileau (12-0) earned her 12th win of the season. She allowed two earned runs on eight hits. She struck out a pair over seven innings of work.
 
SCOUTING XAVIER (LA)
The Gold Nuggets are 12-12 on the season and 8-10 in RRAC play. They have lost their last two games and are 9-5 when playing on the road.
 
Xavier is slashing .287/.363/.372 as a team with five homeruns and 74 runs scored. Shay Angelle leads XULA with an average of .405. She leads the Gold Nuggets with 17 runs batted in and three homeruns. Madison Winston is also above the .400 plateau with an average of .404.
 
In the circle, XULA has a team ERA of 5.52 and a WHIP of 1.97. Essynce Wallace leads Xavier with 39 innings pitched. She has a record of 3-5 across 14 appearances with an ERA of 4.57.
 
The Generals swept a doubleheader at Xavier earlier this season. Kwakernaak hit a pair of homeruns in the second game.
 
SCOUTING NO. 10 OUR LADY OF THE LAKE
The Saints are 34-6 on the season and are undefeated in RRAC play at 20-0. OLLU is 11-4 when playing at home.
 
OLLU is slashing .372/.447/.574 as a team with 40 homeruns and 322 runs scored. Grace Ross leads the Saints with an average of .445. She has a team-high 37 runs batted in. Lilly Rocha leads OLLU with eight homeruns.
 
Ava Hernandez and Annika Litterio have split pitching duties for OLLU this season. Hernandez is 16-3 with an ERA of 1.55 over 126.2 innings. She has made 24 appearances and has thrown 16 complete games. Hernandez has recorded 100 strikeouts and opposing hitters have an average of .209 against her. Litterio is 14-2 in 22 appearances with 97.2 innings pitched. She has 114 strikeouts, an ERA of 1.86, and an average against of .181.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-SAN ANTONIO 
The Jaguars are 15-19 on the year and 8-8 in RRAC contests.
 
As a team, TAMUSA is hitting .289 and have scored 159 runs. They have an on-base percentage of .374 and a slugging percentage of .354. Kristianna Luerra leads the Jaguars with an average of .427. Samara Aguilera has driven in a team-high 26 runs. Ashley Weinert has hit two big files.
 
Ryanne Limon leads the Jagaurs' staff with 102.1 innings pitched. She has a record of 8-6 in 20 appearances and an ERA of 3.01. She has recorded 52 strikeouts and has an average against of .261.
