Seven Earn LSWA All-Louisiana Softball Honors

ALEXANDRIA, LA – Seven Louisiana State University of Alexandria softball players earned Louisiana Sports Writers Association honors.
 
The All-Louisiana LSWA Softball Teams are voted on by a panel of media and college sports publicists. Haley Primrose and Kaetlyn Dunbar earned LSWA All-Louisiana First Team honors. Madi Baker and Alyssa Soileau were named LSWA All-Louisiana Second Team. Haley Fontenot, Kilee Moody, and Julia Kwakernaak earned LSWA All-Louisiana Honorable Mention.
 
Primrose went 25-7 in the circle for the Generals and posted an ERA of 2.18 with a WHIP of 1.20. She tossed 202.0 innings over 40 appearances, 29 of which were starts, with 26 complete games and six shutouts. She picked up three saves and struck out an LSUA single-season record 181 hitters. Opponents hit just .228 against her. She also finished second in LSWA Pitcher of the Year voting. Primrose earned First Team All-RRAC and NFCA NAIA All-Region I honors.
 
Dunbar hit .393 in her first season with the Generals. She drove in 56 runs and scored 45. She tallied four home runs, two triples, and 11 doubles. Dunbar swiped 18 bases in 20 chances and posted an on-base percentage of .418. Defensively, she converted 81 of her 83 chances. She was an All-RRAC First Team selection, RRAC Newcomer of the Year, and NFCA NAIA All-Region I Second Team honoree.
 
Baker posted a .399 average and hit a pair of big flies. She drove in 50 runs and scored 49. Baker posted an on-base percentage of .424 and a slugging percentage of .546. She threw out seen would-be base stealers defensively and posted a fielding percentage of .991. Baker was an RRAC First Team selection and was named RRAC Defensive Player of the Year. She was also named an NFCA NAIA All-Region I First Team selection and NAIA First Team All-American.
 
Solieau was a two-way player for the Generals, splitting time in the circle and at second base. Offensively, Solieau posted an average of .343 (23-for-67) with one home run and eight runs batted in. She scored 19 runs and stole 15 bases in 17 chances. In the circle, Solieau posted a 17-1 record over 23 appearances. She set the LSUA freshman record for wins. Soileau compiled an ERA of 3.26 over 103.0 innings with a WHIP of 1.62.
 
Kwakernaak led LSUA with a batting average of .506, an OBP of .565, a SLG% of .929, 13 home runs, 62 runs batted in, 21 doubles, and six triples. She finished second in runs scored at 64 and swiped 25 bases in as many chances. She was named the RRAC Player of the Year and First Team All-RRAC. Kwakernaak was named an NAIA first Team All-American, NFCA NAIA All-Region I First Team selection, and NFCA NAIA First Team All-American. She also finished third in LSWA Hitter of the Year voting.
 
Fontenot hit .410 with an on-base percentage 100 points higher at .510. She posted an OPS of 1.118 while driving in 32 runs. She hit four home runs, 17 doubles, and two triples. Fontenot scored a team-high 66 runs. She swiped 38 bases on 44 chances. Fontenot was name to the All-RRAC First Team and was an NFCA NAIA All-Region I Second Team selection.
 
Moody hit .436 on the season with an on-base percentage of .475. She hit three home runs and drove in 45 runs. Moody crossed the plate 59 times. She posted an OPS of 1.072 and stole 16 bases in 17 chances. Moody was an All-RRAC First Team honoree and was named an NFCA NAIA All-Region I First Team selection.
