SCOUTING THE GENERALS
The Generals are 10-5 on the season and 3-0 in RRAC contests. They swept Southwest (N.M.) in a four-game series (three RRAC games) last week.
 
Haley Fontenot was named the RRAC Player of the Week for the second time. The senior from Morgan City, Louisiana drove in a at least one run in three of the LSUA's games against Southwest (N.M.) this past weekend. Fontenot also recorded at least one hit in each game, going 3-for-3 in two games, and swiped six bases. She finished the weekend hitting 8-for-11 with five runs batted in, six runs scored, and six stolen bases. Fontenot is hitting .405 with a team-leading three home runs. She is also a perfect 13-for-13 in stolen bases.
 
Kaetlyn Dunbar is hitting .488 on the season and leads LSUA in runs batted in (16).
 
Lainee Bailey tossed a one-hitter last week against Southwest (N.M.) to improve to 5-1 on the season. The right-hander has an ERA of 1.62 and a WHIP of 1.18. Bailey has recorded 37 strikeouts and holds an opposing average against of .168.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS COLLEGE
The Steers are 0-4 on the season and 0-3 in RRAC play.
 
They are hitting .260 as a team with an on-base percentage of .296. Miranda Galdiano leads TC with an average of .571. Casidy Barclay has posted an average of .444 through three games.
 
In the circle, Adelaida Benavidez has recorded 16.1 innings of work. She has a record of 0-2 and an ERA of 10.71. Benavidez has recorded four strikeouts. The Steers have a team ERA of 9.72 and an opposing average against of .398.
