ALEXANDRIA, LA – Damian Kunc of the Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team was named the Collegiate Men's Defensive Player of the Year by Louisiana Soccer Association this past weekend.
 
"I'm so proud of Damian and all he's achieved for us both on and off the field," LSUA Head Men's Soccer Coach Mackenzie Young said. "He's so deserving of this award, he's been a tremendous player, leader, and individual and I know he's going to continue to be great."
 
Kunc appeared in fifteen games in the 2025 campaign, and made 11 starts, for the Generals. He anchored a back line which held opposing teams to just 1.05 goals per game. Kunc scored three goals on the season.
 
He was recognized by the Red River Athletic Conference as a First Team All-RRAC selection.
