ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team is excited to announce its 2026 recruiting class.

Keelin Foley said. "We graduated a lot of top-quality players this year, so for the past 12 months we have focused heavily on recruiting a strong and well-balanced group, that we hope will propel us to success this year. We have retained a strong group of midfield players from last year, which gave us a great foundation to build around. We identified that we needed to add some experience at the back, so we focused on recruiting transfers with many games under their belt at this level. We also added some flair up front by bringing several exciting wingers and forwards to Alexandria. Overall, we believe that we have the players to compete again this fall, and we are excited to integrate the new players with the rest of the group."
The Generals are bringing in a class of 19 to complement their returning squad.
Jayden Peglar is a six-foot freshman goalkeeper from Bishops Stortfeld, England. He made 61 appearances in men's non-league football with 17 clean sheets for Colchester United.
Why LSUA? "I see a big potential in the team and can see us winning a lot of games. I spoke to Coach Mackenzie over the phone and it straight away felt like the place for me. I can't wait to get started."
Takumi Hirose is a 5-foot-7 defender from Saitama, Japan. He joins the Generals from Mercer County CC. Hirose was a 2025 NJCAA Region 19 All-Region Team selection. He made two appearances in the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because it provides the perfect balance between competitive soccer and academics. From my first conversations with the coaching staff, I left welcomed and believed this was the right place for me to continue growing as both a player and a student. I also felt LSUA is able to win national championships."
Pablo Novoa Martin is a 6-foot-2 defender from Madrid, Spain. He joins LSUA from Thomas University. He made 13 appearances and started 10 games in 2025 for the Night Hawks. He registered one assist and 14 shots. He was named to the Southern States Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team in 2024 after scoring two goals in 13 appearances.

Kaya Karabeyaz-Cowling is a six-foot junior defender from Enfield, England. He joins the Generals from Parkland College. He made 10 appearances over the past two seasons for Parkland. Karabeyaz-Cowling registered one assist in 2025.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I saw when doing research that they had a good season last year and the whole program and school ticked all the boxes I was looking for."
Lucas O'Donnell is a 5-foot-9 forward from Leeds, England. He joins LSUA from the University of Rio Grande. O'Donnell made 40 appearances over three seasons with the RedStorm. He recorded 10 goals and 13 assists for 33 points. He recorded a career-high six goals in 2023 and six assists in 2025.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I wanted a change after three years at Rio Grande. LSUA made sense because of the high level and expectations, great location, and great facilities."
Javier Hernandez is a 5-foot-9 midfielder rom Collado Villabla, Spain. He joins LSUA from Mercer County CC. Hernandez earned first team all-conference and academic all-conference selections while at Mercer.
Why LSUA? "I saw LSUA as my better choice for my future in terms of education, soccer and personal life."
Thiago Lopes is a 5-foot-9 forward from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He joins the Generals from just across the river at Louisiana Christian. Lopes appeared in 43 games over his LCU career. He registered eight goals and two assists. Lopes recorded a career-high four goals and two assists in 2024. He lodged three goals, two coming as game-winning goals, in 2025.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I felt it was the best place for me to continue growing both academically and athletically. From my conversations with the coaching staff, I could see a strong vision for the program and a culture where I can develop, compete at a high level, and contribute to the team. I'm also excited about the opportunity to continue my education in an environment that feels like the right fit for my future."
Giuseppe Costantino is a 5-foot-6 forward from Reggio Calabria, Italy. He joins the Generals from Dallas College Richland. He was named Second Team All-DAC and registered 12 goals and 18 assists during his career at DCR.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because they trusted me and I'll give everything to repay their trust."
Alvaro De la Torre is a six-foot forward from A Coruña, Spain.
Why LSUA? "I played a spring game for my last college against LSUA and I really liked the way LSUA played that game, so when I got the call, it was an easy choice."
Genis Alcaide Armengol is a six-foot forward from Girona, Spain. He joins the Generals from Central Christian College of Kansas. Armengol was named NJCAA Second Team All-Region during his time at Central Christian.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I want to be in a competing place where I have to give my best to achieve the goal. I know that LSUA has the ability to win conference and to fight in the national tournament."
Marcus Davis is a six-foot forward from Birmingham, England. He joins the Generals from Dakota County Technical College. Over two seasons at DCTC, Davis appeared in 32 matches and recorded seven goals and 10 assists.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because it offers the ideal platform for my athletic and academic development. After a strong season, this is the perfect next step in my career."
Jett McTavish is a 5-foot-11 defender from Sydney, Australia. He joins LSUA from Adams State University.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA as I really like the soccer program and I truly believe that the academic side of the school will help me with my career further down the line."
Pedro Silva Rocha is a six-foot defender from Cruzeiro do Oeste, Brazil. He joins the Generals from the University of South Carolina Union. Rocha Silva earned First Team All-Region 10 honors during his time at USCU.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I love the location as well as the school overall. The soccer team caught my eye as they are very good and I am excited to be a General."
Carmine Dennis is a six-foot defender from Pineville, Louisiana. He joins LSUA from Pineville High School.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I grew up here, this is home, and I know the coaches well and a few of the players."
Benjamin Wyeth is a five-foot-eight midfielder from Perth, Australia. He earned a pair of Player of the Year selections for Joseph Bank's Secondary College.
Why LSUA? "After speaking a lot with the coaches, I knew LSUA was the right fit for me. The way they want to play matches my style and the culture they're building really stood out. With the strong facilities and academic support as well, I'm confident this is the best place for me to grow on and off the field."
Luke Brown is a 5-foot-10 midfielder from Lafayette, Louisiana. He joins LSUA from Teurlings Catholic High School. Brown was a three-time all-state selection and two-time district offensive MVP. He also earned three all-metro selections and a first team all-district selection.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because of the soccer program and it is close to home."
Callum Carolan is a six-foot forward from London, England. He joins the Generals from the Stevanage Education Development Programme.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because of the encouraging coaches and good reputation."
Raphael Wyatt Sagrera is a six-foot goalkeeper from Maurice, Louisiana. He joins the Generals from North Vermilion High School. Sagrera was a two-time first team all-district selection.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because it is an ascending program in my home state both academically and in sports. It's the best of both worlds, studying the major I'm interested in and playing the sport I love."
Josh Bogan is a 5-foot-11 goalkeeper from Livingston, Scotland. He joins the Generals from Neosho County Community College. He earned a pair of national goalkeeper of the week awards and was named second team all-conference.
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because it is a top program."
The Generals open their season with a trio of scrimmages against LSU Eunice, Mississippi College, and D1 Centenary College before beginning the regular season in earnest on August 22 at Blue Mountain University.
