ALEXANDRIA, La.- The Louisiana State University of Alexandria softball resumes conference play this weekend on the road to Xavier University (La.) for a three-game series.

THE GENERALS
LSUA is coming off a 1-3 performance at Gulf Shores where they took down No. 8 Central Methodist University. The Generals played four opponents who were ranked in the top 25 or receiving votes. They are 14-8 overall and 6-0 in RRAC conference play.
 
Kaetlyn Dunbar still leads the Generals softball with a 0.444 batting average. Julia Kwakernaak follows closely behind with a .410, and leads LSUA with a .672 slugging percentage. Sohpia Romero has the most stolen bases so far this season with 22. The Generals are hitting .445 as a team batting average and a .494 on base percentage in conference play.
 
In the circle, Lainee Bailey is at the top of the board with a 1.14 WHIP and 28 strikeouts. Together, the pitching staff has a 3.00 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP.
 
SCOUTING XAVIER
The Golden Nuggets are 2-4 in conference play and 5-12 overall. As a team they have scored over 50 runs this season while hitting four home runs overall and one in conference play.
 
As a team they hold a .261 batting average alongside a .336 on base percentage.
Offensively, Lexi McLin has the most RBI (12) and the most at-bats (52). Miya Covington has the most hits (18) and follows behind McLin with 51 AB's.
 
The pitching staff has recorded 43 strikeouts and allowed 111 hits and 47 walks.
