LSUA started the weekend with a 17-4 record in RRAC conference play and improved to 19-4. with two road wins over Jarvis Christian University
Game 1 Recap
In five innings the Generals were able to enact the run-rule with a score of 13-3.
The Generals began the game with RBI's from
Kilee Moody,
Kaetlyn Dunbar, and
Jillian Howell and continued the barrage in the second inning scoring six runs on eight hits.
On the defensive side of the ball,
Rylee Guillot earned the win giving up just one hit and zero runs.
Haley Fontenot,
Shelby Vitrano, and
Sophia Romero each stole multiple bases for LSUA Generals for an overall total of nine on the day.
Game 2 Recap
Game two brought the same consistent offense from the Generals leading to a 7-1 victory over the Bulldogs.
Samantha Hayes earned the win for LSUA. Hayes surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one.
Alyssa Soileau pitched four innings in relief for the Generals. The reliever gave up one hit and one run while, striking out two and walking three.
The Generals accumulated 12 hits in the game.
Kilee Moody went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead LSUA in hits. Fontenot and
Livie Thibodeaux each collected multiple hits. Fontenot and Thibodeaux also each stole multiple bases in Game 2, helping tally 8 stolen bases for the game.
LSUA faces Jarvis Christian for Game 3 of the series Friday at noon.
