THE GENERALS
LSUA is coming off a sweep of Jarvis Christian University last week. The Generals are 28-14 on the season and 20-4 in Red River Athletic Conference play.
Kaetlyn Dunbar drove in seven runs across the series and hit four extra base hits. She went 6-for-11 over the three-games series. Dunbar leads the Generals in batting average (.385), home runs (6), and runs batted in (43). She is slugging .664 with an OPS of 1.094.
Haley Fontenot and
Sophia Romero are tied for the team lead in stolen bases with 35 each. Fontenot has now eclipsed 100 stolen bases for her LSUA career. The pair's combined 70 stolen bases is a higher total than seven RRAC teams. The Generals are ranked fifth in the NAIA with 162 stolen bases.
Lainee Bailey has posted a 14-5 record over 23 appearances in the circle. She has an ERA of 1.82 over 104.0 innings and has struck out 89 hitters.
SCOUTING LOUISIANA CHRISTIAN
The Wildcats enter the week with a record of 22-20, including a 12-10 mark in RRAC contests.
As a team, LCU is hitting .279 with 10 home runs and 207 runs scored. They have stolen 122 bases in 133 attempts. Isabella Battaglia leads the Wildcats' offense in average (.324) and runs batted in (30). Mariel Medran has stolen a team-high 35 bases in 36 attempts. Myah Talbert leads LCU in home runs with four.
The Wildcats' pitching staff has posted an earned run average of 3.70 and a WHIP of 1.65. Olivia Falcon leads the staff with a record of 10-6 over 20 appearances. She has posted an ERA of 1.99 and a WHIP of 1.21. Falcon has tossed 102.0 innings and struck out 73 hitters.
