ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team is headed to Kingsport, Tennessee for the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Rounds.
It is the first time since 2022 the Generals have appeared in the NAIA postseason. This year, LSUA earned an at-large bid after posting a 33-15 overall record and 20-7 mark in RRAC play. The Generals took two games, in a three-game series, from both (then-ranked) No. 10 Texas A&M-Victoria and No. 19 Louisiana Christian University before closing the regular season with a series win over Our Lady of the Lake University.
Three-seeded LSUA joins host, and two-seed Tennessee Wesleyan, one-seed Webber (Fla.), four-seed Indiana Wesleyan, and five-seed William Woods (Mo.).
The Generals take on two-seed Tennessee Wesleyan in their opening game. The NAIA Opening Rounds run from May 11-14.
